Birthday girl

I told myself that this year I wouldn't do a big birthday party for Avery because it was kind of stressful and very messy last year. But my guilt overwhelmed my good intentions and I ended up just doing multiple, small birthday "parties." Which, actually, was a lot better. Avery's friend, Phoebe, came over for a princess tea during the day on her birthday. Then, that evening, we did a little family party. Avery wanted to play "pin the face on dad." I think she thought we actually got to pin something on dad, and was a little confused by my interpretation of the game, but it was fun.
