McCall 2010

We got back Wednesday from the annual Walker McCall-palooza. What was probably most fun for me this year was watching the girls, and Avery in particular, enjoying the week on their own terms: playing with the cousins, jet-skiing, kayaking and WAKE BOARDING! I am going to try to post the video next . . .Avery got up with Mike on the wakeboard by holding onto his legs. She loved it and was so brave. Two days after we got back to Lake Stevens, she went again! Elliot had a good time as well, despite having the runs the whole week. Poor girl.

Getting ready to kayak with cousin Olivia.

Elliot wearing her shades.

We had a hard time finding the perfect position for Elliot to kayak, but this did the trick for awhile.

Sorry Kendal - didn't mean to cut your face off here :) Chilling with cousins.

Captain Avery.

Having fun in the lake (just don't drink the water. oops, too late).

I can do it myself! Kayaking with Jesi.

This picture is totally unnecessary. I just think my husband is handsome :)
Yay for Moms!

I am blessed in my mother. She came up to visit us the first week of August and brought the girls these cute dresses from Mexico (from her, dad,Daniel and Beff's vacation in Cabo). She helped me so much with watching the girls and cleaning up. We also did some outings and had some fun adventures. You'll notice that it was almost impossible to get Elliot to look at the camera :)

At Discovery Park in Seattle which was a discovery for me. I hadn't been before. 500 acres of preserved forest. We had already explored the locks that day so we didn't spend a lot of time here (you can see that Elliot was about done), but we did find a couple ponds and a beautiful crane.

At the train in country village. Always a hit. My big girls riding together.

Mom watched the girls at the zoo one morning while I got some work done in Seattle. Here they are at the zoo, best friends . . .most of the time :)

And, at the locks. We always have fun watching the ships. And we also timed it right to see the larger salmon (Chinook I think) in the salmon runs. Avery has a huge fascination with the salmon. We walked in and she yelled "Look how big they are now mom!!"
Thanks mom for a great week!
